How do I place a custom order?

We ask for two weeks notice for all custom orders, but later requests are sometimes possible depending on our bake schedule. Please fill out a general inquiry form here and we’ll reply within 24 hours to confirm our availability and to send a more detailed order menu (+ pricing). Your order is booked once we send an invoice via Quickbooks and full payment is received. A general inquiry does not guarantee your desired date and other bookings may take priority.

Cancellations and Changes

Cancellations and any changes to your cake order (size, flavor, design) must be made at least one week prior to your event date and communicated via email to superettebaking@gmail.com. Orders cancelled with more than one weeks notice will receive a full refund, minus a 10% processing fee. Orders cancelled within one week of the event date will not be refunded. Refunds for large order cancellations will be determined at the discretion of Superette Baking and will be communicated via email to the client.

How do I serve / store my cake?

If you are enjoying your cake the same day as your delivery/pick-up, feel free to leave it in its box in a cool spot on the counter. If it is an especially warm day, we recommend an air conditioned room, as all buttercream cakes and items will lose their structural integrity over time when left in a hot environment.

If you refrigerate your cake, please remove it from the fridge at least 2-3 hours (more for larger sized cakes) to ensure adequate tempering all the way to the center of the cake. We recommend serving your cake at room temperature for best flavor and texture.

How do I serve my fresh floral cake?

When possible, we source the freshest locally grown flowers available and because of their seasonal nature, we can not always guarantee a specific variety of flower. We promise to select something as close as possible that will best highlight the presentation of your cake.

Your cake flowers are food-safe but non-edible; please remove them before service and please note that every stem is wrapped in tape to offer a barrier between your cake and any organic material. We design the floral garnish as close to pick-up/delivery as possible, but note that your cake florals are time and temperature sensitive due to the fact that they are out of water.

Can I freeze leftovers?

Yes. Portion out remaining slices, double wrap in Saran, and package in a freezer safe Ziplock, prior to placing in your freezer. You may defrost your slices in the fridge or on the counter.

Do you offer cake inscription?

No. We do however offer a simple handmade cake topper with message + name for an additional cost.

How do I serve/store my macarons?

Macarons may be refrigerated, but please remove them from the fridge at least 30 minutes to ensure adequate tempering. We recommend serving your macarons at room temperature for best flavor and texture.

How do I serve/store my pies?

Fruit pies may be stored at room temperature (pie box is fine) for up to 1-2 days, after which point please refrigerate. All fruit pies may be warmed in the oven by covering loosely with foil and warmed for 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees. A thin blade knife inserted into the center should feel warm to the touch.

Cream or custard pies should be refrigerated, and they can not be warmed.
